Childrens and Wife

In 1984 Soltani married to Fariba Maqsudi, who was a calligrapher. They have two children, one daughter, Sama, who is the BA student of College of Art, University of Tehran, and a son, Soha, who is the student of Allameh Tabatabaii University and the director of the Soha Press.

 

 Their marriage was a great boost for Soltani in editing and compiling the great cultural and literary works in such a way that Soltani succeeded in reviving interests in the  great Kurdish  Divans ( Books of Poems) and his monumental work on the biography of great Kurd poets from Teymorid  to the present ,his  Hadiqa .

 

Fariba Maqsudi is the first women calligrapher who , during the thousand years of history of Persian literature in Iran and other Islamic countries, has worked on the calligraphic rendering of The Holy Quran in Nastaaliq, and the complete work of calligraphy of Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh ( Epic of Kings), Divan of Hafiz, the Quartets of Ommar Khayyam, Mowlavi’s Mathnavi, Boostan and Golestan of Saadi, the Couplets of Baba Taher of Hamedan, Divan of Partovi Kermanshahi, parts of Divan of Parvin Etesami, Divan of Vahdat Kermanshahi, Divan of Mir Mohammad Saleh Mahidashti, Divan of Seyyed Yaqub Mahidashti, the one thousand pages of annotations of Ashura Prayer by Ayatollah Haj Ahmad Mirkhani, the lectures of Her Majesty Zahra ( PUH), the Chants of Imam Ali, Shabaniye Chants, anthology of verse on the eulogy of the Prophet Mohammad ( PUH) , Imam Ali ( PUH) and etc., all of which have been published many times. She is the first women to be selected for the prestigious title Khademe Koran e Karim (Devoted to the Holy Quran) in the International Fair for Holy Quran, Selected Personality of the Festival for Women Calligraphers of Iran. She has granted the right and eligibility to calligraphy of Holy Quran by the great calligraphers of Islamic world. She has received the High Caligraphers Degree from renowned masters of the field, is the member of the Association of Calligraphers of Jordan, and has been granted the right and eligibility to the calligraphy of Holy Quran by the Ministery of Sciences of Syria. She has severally rewarded by the high authorities like the President, Heads of organizations and cultural entities, ministries and received the appreciation by the Great Leader.

 

Maqsudi has held single-handedly several domestic and overseas fairs. She has fairs in Terhan, Isfahan, Sari, Ramsar, Karaj, Kermanshah, Hamedan and etc. Fairs in Halab, Damascus, Kwala Lampoor, Djakarta, Istanbul, Casablanca, Rashediye, Aljazeera and etc, are among her reach repertoire of artistic achievements. She also has participated in fairs in Britain, Canada and France along with other artists. She is the innovator and reviver of the fair art of Moraqqa Plates which, in November of 2008, visited by many artists, masters and experts of the field of calligraphy and the general public in the Imam Ali Museum. In 2010, she presented a great work of calligraphy, namely, the Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh (Iranian National Epic) to the devotees of Iranian culture and literature.
